I see a lot of questions about gardening in Palia and wanted to provide a quick guide for everyone whether you are new or coming back to Palia.

• How many garden soils can you buy?
  You can only buy 9 garden soils from Badruu. The 9 can be used however you'd like across all of your housing plots. Just remember, it's 9 total, not 9 per housing slot.

• Why do I not get non-starred seeds anymore?
  As you level up your gardening skill you have a higher chance of receiving a starred crop from any seed you plant. Around level 25 seems to be when you will always get starred crops from star quality seeds. Around level 35 is when you should always get starred crops from even regular quality seeds.

• How do I get apple and blueberry seeds?
  Your first blueberry seed can be obtained by reaching gardening level 8 and your first apple seed can be obtained by reaching gardening level 10. They are also available from the Gardening Guild Store after reaching level 10. If you happen to have a TON of money, you can try your luck with Zeki's Wondrous Machine in the general store. Or if you love chatting with the villagers, you can receive the seeds from level 3 quests with Badruu, Nai'o & Zeki.

• How are people designing garden layouts?
  The most useful tool developed for the Palia gardening community has to be the Palia Garden Planner by .aisen. The Garden Planner allows you to organize your plots in any order and place down crops anywhere on your soil to see how the buffs will interact. Then you can use the save button and choose link to share the layout with others online.
